This was the record that Scott La Rock and KRS ONE brough to Mr. Magic at WBLS and had him diss it in front of them and tell them the Juice Crew was better than them which prompted KRS to go after the #1 MC in the Juice Crew at that time : MC Shan. (before Kane and Biz had their own solo records out.. the Juice Crew was still relatively small in 1985 compared to the latter years )

Also, Mr. Magic was a big supporter of The Bad Boys (Feat K-Love) and being that 12:41 "Success is the Word" was a carbon copy of that record and an attempt to copy that formula, Mr. Magic called it out. They even sampled the beatbox right off of the Bad Boys record and used samples of Betty Boop's voice just like on the intro of the Bad Boy's record.
