SCENE MOB:

The second full-length LP from Jungle Brown, ‘Full Circle’, drops on Mr Bongo in September 2019. Featuring collaborations with Sampa The Great, Fliptrix (High Focus) and Terri Walker amongst other super-talents.

The trio – Ric Flo, MAEAR & Tony Bones – have spent the last two years redefining soulful hip-hop – the sound is bigger, more thought-provoking, and it has matured with a rich soulful underpinning. They have also entered

territories fans are yet to hear from them as they glide effortlessly over Tony Bones’ productions that introduce trap and house into their repertoire. The project is an eclectic array of their influences, twisted and blended together to create a ground-breaking release for UK music.

Jungle Brown’s debut album ‘Flight 314’ has achieved more than a million streams without any budget for marketing or promotion. They spent much of 2016 in Apple Music’s ‘Best of 2016 category, featuring on Spotify and SB.TV,

were requested to curate an exclusive playlist for Tidal and attracted attention from New York with Beats 1’s very own, Ebro.

They’ve shared the stage with the likes of De La Soul, Ghostface Killah, Lowkey, Akala and Donaeo, played major festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown and Lovebox as well as a huge number of clubs shows across the UK.

We met Dorn online to be honest. We talked a lot about nowadays Trap and Phonk and it's origins in those dusty old Memphis tapes. When this kid showed us his first tunes, we thought that's like a hybrid of all that we like from those genres. Influenced by very different musical styles, from Black Metal to 90s Jungle, this project is a tribute to the cassette culture in general !

Doza the Drum Dealer is a Brooklyn born producer/songwriter. His musical style isn’t limited to one genre in fact it can best be described as a hybrid sound. He takes the trunk rattling 808s of today’s music and blends them with old school samples and break-beats bridging the gap between the originators and the innovators. His influences include DJ Premiere The Rza Pete Rock Easy Mo bee and Havoc of Mobb Deep. He told me his style of sampling uses the chops like instruments creating original melodies out of single notes. His rhymes style is also a hybrid between lyricism and cadence he is fully capable of adjusting his flow and finding the pocket to rock and boom bap or trap beat. His musical background comes from his father who was a Timbalero and a Congero.

To help us get ready for the harsh months ahead, the coldest MC himself

Roc Marciano unveils a theme to rival the treacherous snowstorm aroundand he

calls it "Blizzard". Hailing from the legendary Long Island, NY !

Roc knows more than a thing or two about the bitter season we call

Winter. Perhaps, the freezing temperatures, inescapable winds and

desolate scenery of the Mid-Atlantic cold have inspired his rhyming over

the years. Let's not forget Roc is the same artist that blessed us with

the timeless anthem, "Snow" almost a decade ago.

SCENE MOB:

A journey to the moon that began fifteen years ago now reaches another milestone – 15 years, one and a half decades, over 150 individual releases, many many artists, countless professional relationships but also friendships along the way. Many many stories and shared memories – not all of them good, not all of them bad either. While modern space age technology would make it possible to reach the moon’s surface a lot faster, for us it is not only about moving forward as quickly as possible, but also to turn around, look back and around ourselves and to reflect on everything that happened and is happening. This is why we have such a broad range of artists guesting on our latest compilation. Some that have been part of the voyage from its earliest stages, others that have been with us for major milestones along the way, and even more that might move ahead with us into new and unchartered musical regions.

Working with Dave McKean – a true legend, especially for anyone into comic illustrations – wraps up this whole trip in the sweetest way. Not only is it a big honour, but – in a way – it completes the circle, as Dave has been a major influence for the label’s artworks from its earliest beginnings already.

SCENE MOB:

Here we go with the very first recordings Noiseman produced back in 1993! In the early days Danny Noiseman Danmole teamed up with Scott Free and they rocked many shows all over the US. Opening up for names like Naughty by Nature, Das Efx, C-Funk, House of Pain, Gravediggaz, Lighter Shade of Brown, Goodie Mob, Lord Digga, Paris, Lord Finesse, Masta Ace, Assassin, MC Breed, Mystic, Total Devastation, DJ Quick and many more.

Being in an area where G-Funk reigned supreme they never got the props they deserved and it was an uphill battle trying to get their name and music out to the public. Prepare to be blown away because what you will hear is nothing but top notch 1993 hip-hop!

SCENE MOB:

This christmas legendary hip hop emcee and producer delivers coke fixtion 2 a follow up of coke fixtion which Agallah released earlier this year and gets a return to a john wick style soundtrack about a hitman named ace johnson who gets betrayed by a underworld boss named van buren who will do whatever in his power to get ace johnson wiped out. Agallah gets help from termanology to play "tommy nickles" on eye foe a eye innocent to play caligula the enforcer and action figure to play brick goonberg.

This is like hood cinema on wax. I always wanted to score movies and films im a big fan of blaxploitation old school flicks they just vintage with the live instrument soundtracks, i wanted to write a story and have certain rappers play the parts i feel like this is a different approach but still bangable as far as songs i think and did it with my live band buddies djibril toure and doc burnz and myself producing the whole project. i hope people receive it they way i envision it."

Releases 12.25.19 on all streaming platforms cds and vinyl coming soon.
